All our beams are solid wood and air dried and hand sanded to the highest standard, each beam is totally unique. We can stain or wax the beam to your colour of choice. Our beams are made from Solid Oak.
Although they are air dried the beams may develop further cracks, splits, and slight movements as they adjust to the environment of your property. We recommend that if these beams are going above a log burner, fire or any intense heat, that the heat should be gradually increased over a period of a week or more if possible.
Our beams are generally used for interior use such as Fire Places, Shelves, Mantles, Lintels etc but can also be used for external use.
These beams are obviously natural products and may contain surface cracks, knots, wavy edge, pin holes, and discolouring which add to the charm, character, and rustic/modern appearance. You can choose your beam in shop.
